Ivory Creek Chain Bolo
Ivory Creek Chain Bolo
This listing is for a one of a kind piece of wearable art. Handmade from start to finish out of solid silver sheet, wire and chain. The bolo tie features hand stamped details, each one individually cut out with a jewelers saw, then soldered to the backplate. The centerpiece is an Ivory Creek Variscite cabochon set in a fine silver bezel. The centerpiece sits on a 24” heavy duty sterling silver foxtail chain. This piece is best if put on by slipping over your head. To do so slide the beads on the chain down with your index finger and thumb, making sure to grab the bead firmly at the base not the edge so as not to separate the silicone center from the silver outer shell. Push beads as far down the chain as they go, then slide back up when worn to wear at desired heigh. Do not pull on charms at the end, grab the chain to assist in pushing beads up and down instead of opening the bolo slide each time, it will weaken the silver over time possibly resulting in breakage. So I do recommend you measure your head before purchasing, best fits a 22” circumference head or smaller.
After carefully fabricating this bolo tie had a patina added to bring out the stamped details. It was then tumbled and polished to a mirror like finish.
